Hi my name is Dan and I had more than 5 cats in my life time. I currently have 3 cats who are at a distance of approximately 17 years. I use to shave the when their hairballs to get very poor and have them point half walking. Not a nice view! I knew what to do because the hairballs were getting so often. I finally have their in the veterinarian and they me explained that the possibility for them to digest or coughing up a hairball becomes more difficult that cats age. So in turn the hairballs get larger and becomes more frequent. When the hairballs get to a certain size real skin in the center of the hairball gets pulled in the hairball. Because of this makes cut or burned more difficult. If your attention not you could seriously injure the cat in the process.
I personally have razed 3 cats and would say that it is not easy or fun to do something. I can say is that I strongly recommend leaving shaving professionals, if the hairballs get as bad! Their is also a slight risk for the prejudice suffered by you, especially if the cats still have their claws. My suggestion is if you see any first of signs of hairballs, start brushing frequently.Their is great medicine to help their digestive brake down of the local company store hairballs.Votre hairball can help you get the right tools to help reduce the amount of hairballs that gets your cat.
